This 15-unit affordable apartment building is designed for the vision of a vibrant, walkable downtown core for the city of Davis. This 4-story walk-up is envisioned to be ZNE to support the City of Davis’ climate goals. There will be no parking on the site to encourage the car-free lifestyle that many UC Davis students and downtown core residents already lead. This project adds desperately-needed housing in the center of town, reducing carbon impacts from car-based commutes and protecting ag land and open space on the edge of town from suburban sprawl-style development.
