The city of Dublin, CA engaged Indigo to re envision their police and fire complex, which houses the Dublin Police Department the and Alameda County Fire Administration. This LEED Platinum, straw bale building features a unique, sweeping roof line supported by elegant glue-laminated beams. This 54,000 square foot adaptive reuse project completely transforms the complex without wasting embodied materials. Straw bale buildings offer superior R-value insulation as well as fire-resistance, earthquake stability and ballistic resistance — all qualities that ensure first-responders can protect the community under any circumstances. This project was named American Public Works Association Project of the Year.
